The Cost Of Being Liverpool – Saturday 17th November 2012

The recent TV series 'Being Liverpool' showed what life was like behind the scenes at Liverpool FC - Melwood, Transfers, Tours of America and Harley Davidsons. The sections on supporters talked of how we follow our team. Yet it didn't look at what life is like behind the scenes for supporters. Importantly, it failed to talk about what it costs us to be Liverpool supporters.

This Saturday, we will hold our next meeting at The Sandon, Walton Breck Road, starting at 11:30am. The agenda for this meeting will concentrate on 'The Cost Of Being Liverpool'. It is a growing cost and one that shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the talk, actions have been sadly lacking from football clubs and the authorities who regulate the game.

On Saturday, we plan to have an open and honest discussion about ticket prices, both home and away, as well as what we can realistically do to challenge the current status quo. Our panel of LFC Supporters Committee Representatives, Spirit Of Shankly and from other organisations representing supporters will give their views and answer your questions. We all know it can't go on forever and all supporters have their own tipping point when enough is enough. We hope that our proposals will help to tip the balance back in favour of those of us who are Liverpool - the supporters.

Ahead of the meeting, we want to hear your questions, views and ideas. Email us them at media@spiritofshankly.com, Tell us on Facebook or Tweet us @spiritofshankly

Tell us what it costs you, how this has increased. Show us your old ticket stubs and compare the price then to now. And don't forget to include the hashtag #thecostofbeingliverpool

Then come along on Saturday. Listen, have your say and tell the football authorities "Football Is Nothing Without Fans"
