LEJOG and Ironman Challenges for SPLOSH

The coming months will see Spirit of Shankly committee member, Paul Gardner, undertake a number of physical challenges for the SPLOSH (Staff, Patients and Loved Ones Supporting Haemotology) Charity set up by Paul Rice.

The challenges will involve cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats from the 23rd May to the 1st June, cycling approximately 850 miles in just over 9 days. Following the completion of 'LEJOG', Paul will then be stepping up his training in a bid to complete the Ironman UK Triathlon in Bolton on Sunday 4th August. The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and finishing off with a 26.2 mile run.

All money raised for SPLOSH goes to support the work of wards 7Y and 10Z at the Royal Liverpool Hospital where Paul Rice received treatment.
